Building your knowledge base

Your knowledge base is the set of files MagicScreen draws on during meetings — company info, product details, competitor research, pricing, playbooks, and more. You manage these files in the Resource Hub in the web app.

Upload a file

1. Go to the web app and open the Resource Hub (the Files area).
2. Drag a file onto the drop zone ("Drop a file here") or click to browse. While dragging, the zone shows "Release to add."
3. Give the file a Label (a friendly name).
4. Choose a Folder to keep things organized (see below).
5. Choose what the file is for:
   • Insight — "Powers meeting insights." Use this for knowledge you want MagicScreen to reference during calls.
   • Script — "Sales script suggestions." Use this for sales scripts and talk tracks. See Uploading sales scripts.
6. Click Upload.

After uploading, you'll land on the file's detail page.

Organize with folders

Use folders to group related files. You can create folders as private (just you) or shared, rename them, and delete empty ones. Files can be moved between folders.

Processing status

After upload, MagicScreen processes each file so it's ready to use:

• Insight files are indexed for search. The detail page shows Indexed when ready, or Not indexed / "This file is still being indexed…" while it's processing.
• Script files are parsed into sections. The detail page shows Script parsed when ready, or Script not yet parsed / "Script is still being parsed…" while it's processing.

The page refreshes status automatically while processing.

View, preview, and delete

Open any file to see its details:

• Insight files show an AI-generated Summary (when available) and a Content preview.
• Script files show their parsed Script structure — sections and bullet points.

To remove a file, use the delete (trash) button and confirm "Delete this file?".
