Living Notes
Account-level notes that keep updating after every linked meeting — how they work and how to create them.
A Living Note is a note attached to an account that keeps growing over time. Where a snapshot note captures a single meeting, a Living Note reflects the whole relationship — and updates itself whenever a meeting linked to that account ends.
How Living Notes work
- You create a Living Note on an account from a Living note template.
- MagicScreen fills it in using the meetings already linked to that account.
- Each time a new meeting linked to that account ends, the Living Note updates with what's new — no manual editing required.
Good uses for Living Notes:
- An account overview that always reflects the latest state.
- An implementation or onboarding tracker that grows as the project progresses.
- A running list of open items, risks, or decisions across all your calls with a customer.
Create a Living Note
- First create a template with the Living note option turned on. See Creating Note Templates.
- Open the account in the Accounts tab.
- In the account's Notes, add a note and pick your Living Note template.
- MagicScreen backfills the note from meetings already linked to that account, then keeps it updated going forward.
💡 Each Living Note belongs to a single account. To track several accounts, create a Living Note on each.
Feeding a Living Note
A Living Note updates from the meetings linked to its account. So the key habit is linking meetings to the right account — you can do this during a call with the Account button, or from the meeting afterward. See During a live meeting.
Seeing what contributed
Each Living Note shows a Contributing meetings count and list, so you can see exactly which calls fed into it. Expand it to review the meetings behind the current content.
