Uploading sales scripts

How to upload a sales script, how MagicScreen parses it into sections, and how to use it in a meeting.

Sales scripts power the real-time script suggestions you see during a call. Upload your talk track once, and MagicScreen parses it into sections and bullet points it can step through. To see how suggestions appear in a meeting, read Sales script suggestions.

Upload a script

  1. In the web app, open the Resource Hub (the Files area).
  2. Drag in your script file or click to browse.
  3. Give it a Label and pick a Folder.
  4. For the file type, choose Script"Sales script suggestions."
  5. Click Upload.

How parsing works

After upload, MagicScreen parses the script into a structure of sections and bullet points. On the file's detail page you'll see:

  • Script not yet parsed / "Script is still being parsed…" while it processes, then
  • Script parsed once it's ready, along with the parsed Script structure showing each section and its bullets.

This structure is what MagicScreen advances through during a call — each section becomes a step, and the bullets are the talking points it suggests.

Best practices for scripts that parse well

MagicScreen's AI automatically parses your script into sections and talking points — you don't need to pre-format it as bullets. A few habits help the AI produce better in-call suggestions:

Use descriptive section headings

Each major topic in your call should have its own heading — for example Introduction, Discovery, Value Proposition, Objection Handling, Next Steps. Headings tell the AI where to advance the script during the conversation. Avoid generic labels like "Part 1" or "Section A."

Keep talking points action-oriented

Talking points that start with a verb or a question surface as more useful in-call prompts. For example: "Ask about their current renewal timeline" or "Confirm the economic buyer is on the call."

Use consistent terminology

If your script refers to a feature by a specific name, use that name consistently throughout. The AI uses keyword matching to detect which section of the script is most relevant to the live conversation — inconsistent naming reduces match accuracy.

💡 A good rule of thumb: if a new rep could read your script and know exactly what to say and when, the AI can too. Clarity for humans translates directly to better in-call suggestions.

Using your script in a meeting

Once a script is parsed, you can select it during a live call from the Scripts drawer, or via the Select a script prompt when a meeting starts. See Sales script suggestions for the full in-meeting experience.
