Asking questions during a call

How to use the in-meeting chat to ask MagicScreen anything — about the current call, your knowledge base, or past meetings.

While a meeting is live, the live meeting view includes a chat box so you can ask MagicScreen anything without breaking your flow.

Asking a question

  1. In the live meeting view, type into the box labeled "Ask anything about this call…".
  2. Press Enter to send. (Use Shift+Enter to add a new line.)
  3. MagicScreen replies in the feed.

Quick prompts

If you're not sure what to ask, use the Help me button and the suggestion chips to get started, including:

  • Summarize key objections
  • What's the next step?
  • Any competitor mentions?

What MagicScreen can see

When answering, the assistant can draw on:

  • the live transcript of the current call,
  • a running summary of the meeting,
  • your knowledge base files (it searches your uploaded resources and can pull in relevant documents), and
  • Living Notes about the linked account, so it has history from past meetings.

This means you can ask things like "What did we promise this customer last time?" or "Find our pricing for the enterprise tier" and get answers grounded in your own content.

💡 The more you've added to your knowledge base and the more an account's Living Notes have accumulated, the better these answers get.

After the meeting

When the call ends, you can keep chatting about it. The assistant retains the meeting's context, so you can ask follow-up questions, request a recap, or pull out action items while reviewing the transcript and notes.

To ask questions about a whole account (across all its meetings) rather than a single call, use Account Intelligence — see Accounts and Account Intelligence.
