What is MagicScreen?

A plain-English overview of what MagicScreen does, the two apps that make it up, and the key terms you'll encounter.

What MagicScreen does

During your sales calls, MagicScreen runs quietly alongside your meeting and helps you in four ways:

  • Live transcription — your conversation is transcribed in real time so you never lose track of what was said.
  • Real-time insights — AI surfaces timely observations (objections, competitor mentions, key moments) as small notifications while you talk.
  • Script suggestions — if you've uploaded a sales script, MagicScreen tracks where you are in it and suggests the next thing to say.
  • Automatic notes — when a call ends, MagicScreen generates notes from your Note Templates so you don't have to type them up.

It also builds up knowledge about each of your customers over time through Living Notes, and lets you ask questions about an account at any time using Account Intelligence.

The two apps

MagicScreen comes in two parts that share the same account and data:

What it's for
Desktop appReal-time meeting intelligence (insights and scripts) with life-saving living notes and easy to set up prompt-able templates auto-generated after each meeting.
Web app (app.magicscreen.ai)Setup and management — uploading files, organizing your knowledge base, managing your plan and billing, and connecting integrations like Google Calendar.

💡 You'll spend most of your meeting time in the desktop app, and visit the web app for setup and account management. The desktop app links to the web app via the Hub button.

Key terms

Learning a few terms will make the rest of these articles easier to follow:

  • Meeting — a recorded call (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and others). A meeting moves from live to ended.
  • Account — a customer or prospect (for example, "Acme Corp"). Meetings, notes, and intelligence can be tied to an account.
  • Note — a written output generated from a meeting. There are two kinds: snapshot notes and living notes.
  • Note Template — a reusable template that tells MagicScreen what a note should contain. You write the template once and reuse it across meetings.
  • Snapshot note — a one-off note generated for a single meeting.
  • Living Note — a note attached to an account that keeps growing, updating itself after each meeting linked to that account.
  • Insight — an AI-generated observation surfaced during or after a call.
  • Resource / Knowledge Base — files you upload so MagicScreen can pull in your company knowledge. Files are typed as Insight (for meeting intelligence) or Script (for sales-script suggestions).
  • Account Intelligence — a chat where you can ask questions about an account using everything MagicScreen knows about it.
